DEATH STAR TO IMPLEMENT AN AEI-BASED SOLUTION TO INCREASE SECURITY, EFFICIENCY WITHIN BATTLESTATION
[DS1 ORBITAL BATTLE STATION, A GALAXY FAR FAR AWAY ]---- The Death Star (led by CEO Emperor Palpatine) has announced that they will begin outfitting all TIE fighters with AEI tags as well as place IN1600 stationary AEI systems at each entrance following a security breach by a ship identified as the “Millennium Falcon.” This ship was able to slip into one of the loading bays of the Death Star without a record of its visit or any ship information, prompting leadership to evaluate how the Empire can achieve better visibility over its hangars and fleet of starships.
To achieve this, Emperor Palpatine ordered that each ship be outfitted with AEI tags, or RFID identifiers that can carry information like which planet the ship was manufactured on, what type of laser cannons that it carries, and which command ship it is returning from. Moreover, placing IN1600 stationary AEI systems at each entrance and exit point can help the Empire’s visibility over each ship that enters the Death Star passively, so that not only are security breaches like the one with the Falcon prevented but switching ships from bay to bay for the strategic defense of planets like Endor becomes much easier and error-free.
In addition, the Empire has announced the purchase of INT300 AEI scanning tablets, in order to complete routine starship logistics activities like starship inspections and loading of cargo ships. With INet’s Inspect application, commanders can digitize the Empire’s standard TIE fighter inspection form and fill it out on the tablet itself with instant upload to the Death Star database.
While these improvements may not keep Rebel X-wings from exploiting the weakness of the Death Star’s reactor, Emperor Palpatine can rest assured that he will have crystal-clear visibility over each ship and its logistics activities in the Death Star.
